Back in June, 2010, Stony Brook announced the launch of Stony Brook Children’s Hospital to care for the nearly half a million children of Suffolk County.
Ten years later—plus some delay for COVID—we celebrate our anniversary with 180 pediatric specialists; a Pediatric Emergency Department; new clinical, education and research programs; and a beautiful new Stony Brook Children’s Hospital building.
There is a quote by Mr. Rogers in the new Children’s Hospital Lobby which says – “anyone who does anything to help a child in his life is a hero.”
Our anniversary is a great moment to honor the heroes of Stony Brook, our wonderful staff, our patients and their families with a celebration of the very best of Stony Brook Children’s Hospital.
