The interdisciplinary palliative care team not only offers direct services to patients and families, but also conducts clinical training and research. Education programs prepare medical professionals to make children more comfortable throughout their hospital experience, and to better support families medically, financially, spiritually and emotionally. The team also is engaged in research to find new and better ways of delivering pediatric medicine by incorporating palliative care.
