    Get Involved!
The best thing about a children’s hospital? That it isn’t just a part of the community, the community is also part of it. Stony Brook Children’s helps the community’s children, and the community helps us right back — particularly through volunteer time and fundraising. The result is a unified, community-centered approach to improving the standard of children’s medicine in Suffolk County.

    How You Can Help
Our supporters have done everything from participating in walk-a-thons, health fairs and golf outings to crafting their own fundraising events. One couple’s wedding registry benefitted Stony Brook Children’s, another family turned their child’s birthday party into a fundraiser. Schools hold bingo days and businesses host special events. You can get as creative as you want — and we are happy to help you with the details. Sign up today. If you have additional questions, our Advancement office can help. Change for Children
Another way to get involved is through our “Change for Children" initiative in which children across Suffolk County, either individually or through school-wide efforts, collect spare change from family and friends to benefit Stony Brook Children’s. This win-win program not only helps fund key children’s programming in the community, but it also teaches our children that even the smallest efforts can change the world.
