Your Child's Hospital Room

All of our rooms are single-patient, which helps make families feel more comfortable. Each room is outfitted with a refrigerator, a safe, pull-out beds, and free Wi-Fi.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) — the first in New York to have all-private rooms — has accommodation for one parent to stay overnight.

During your stay, you can also use the Ronald McDonald Family Rooms for respite and to shower, make light meals, do laundry and take care of the details of your daily life.

Pillow Speaker

Pillow Speaker

A remote control is available for you to call your nurse (known as a pillow speaker). When you press the button, the nursing staff is alerted, and a staff member will respond as soon as possible.

During the Night

During the Night

For your child’s safety, we ask that your child stay in bed after he or she has been made comfortable for the night. Unfamiliar surroundings and medications may create a hazard if he or she gets out of bed. For assistance during the night, please use your child’s pillow speaker to notify your child’s nurse.

Quiet Hours

Quiet Hours on the inpatient units begin at 2 pm for one hour and then again overnight from 9 pm to 6 am.

As our staff makes every effort to keep noise levels to a minimum, we ask that you contribute by keeping conversations low, lowering TV and radio volumes, putting phones on silent or vibrate, and avoid congregating in hallways outside of patient rooms.
