Definitions

HIV - The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) weakens the immune system by destroying cells that fight disease and infection. The advanced stage of an HIV infection is AIDS, or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.  

Lyme disease - A bacterial infection transmitted by tick bites that can cause abnormalities in the skin, joints, heart and nervous system.

MRSA - Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus may cause infections of the skin, lungs and other areas. Most MRSA infections are not serious but some can be life threatening.
